Shelter

CalArts Center for New Performance (CNP) and Duende CalArts presented the world premiere of Shelter, a movement-based theatrical performance that shares stories of the massive human crisis of unaccompanied minors crossing the U.S. border and passing through the U.S. deportation shelter system and unraveling the painful truths of immigration. Shelter is written and conceived by Marissa Chibas, choreographed by Fernando Belo, and directed by Mexico City-based director, Martin Acosta. Presented in 2016 at CARECEN LA, Lincoln Heights, The Kennedy Center, and other various community events.
